One of the nannies present in the house noticed the intruder and immediately raised the alarm, alerting others in the home. When Saif came out of his room to investigate the commotion, he encountered the assailant and was injured in the ensuing altercation. As shared by the Chief Operating Officer of the hospital, Saif Ali Khan was admitted around 3 to 3:30 AM with multiple injuries. Out of the six wounds he has sustained, one is particularly concerning as it is located close to his spine. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, communicated the gravity of the actor’s condition, stating, "Saif Ali Khan arrived at Lilavati at 3:30 AM. He has six injuries, two of which are deeper. One injury is near his spine. We are currently performing surgery." The medical team includes Neurosurgeon Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Leena Jain, and anaesthetist Nisha Gandhi, all of whom are working to ensure the actor receives the best care possible.
