Following extensive raids on his properties as part of a money laundering inquiry connected to the production and distribution of explicit content, Kundra is vocal about his dissatisfaction with the way his family's privacy is being disregarded.

Kundra reiterated his complete cooperation with the authorities, stating that he has been engaged with the investigation for four years. He expressed his disapproval of the media's tendency to sensationalize situations, particularly in relation to his wife, actor Shilpa Shetty. In an Instagram story shared late Friday, he emphasized, “While the media seems to have a flair for drama, let’s set the record straight: I’m fully complying with the ongoing investigation.”

The narrative surrounding Kundra's case has received considerable attention, as charges have emerged suggesting potential involvement in a scheme that allegedly profited from adult content displayed via the 'Hotshots' application. This app, which was previously accessible on major platforms such as Apple and Google Play, was withdrawn following public scrutiny and legal challenges.

Among the serious allegations against Kundra is the claim that he utilized his firm, Armsprime Media Pvt Ltd, to oversee operations of the app, ultimately facilitating its sale to Kenrin Pvt Ltd, a UK-based company involved in the adult content streaming process. Disturbing reports have surfaced, indicating that aspiring actors were drawn in under the guise of auditioning for web series, only to be pressured into performing explicit scenes.

Evidence reportedly extracted from Kundra's devices has purportedly linked him to financial transactions involving the UK entity and the sale of 119 adult films, generating an estimated $1.2 million. Following the Enforcement Directorate's raids, Kundra has reiterated his stance against the allegations, labeling himself a “scapegoat” and asserting that he was not involved in the production of any pornographic materials.

In a direct appeal to the media, Kundra stressed the importance of respecting personal boundaries, stating, “It’s unacceptable to repeatedly drag my wife’s name into unrelated matters. Please respect the boundaries.” His plea comes in light of his wife’s legal representative asserting that she is unrelated to any criminal activities and denouncing misleading reports regarding raids associated with her name.

Additionally, Kundra's legal troubles are compounded as he faces scrutiny concerning his purported connections to a broader financial scandal involving cryptocurrency, specifically a ponzi scheme linked to Amit Bhardwaj, who masterminded the Gain Bitcoin Scam. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has previously attached assets valued at ₹ 98 crores belonging to Kundra and his spouse due to allegations that they may have benefited from gains obtained through illicit means.
