Exclusive footage captured by 9News illustrates the tense moment when police escorted one of the suspects from a residence while in handcuffs, signaling the conclusion of a six-hour standoff.

The 17-year-old boy is reportedly accused of joining forces with the two men to invade a home in Arundel shortly before 5 a.m. Authorities allege that the trio, masked and armed, arrived at the premises in a stolen BMW, brandishing a firearm and a machete while threatening the occupants inside.

According to police reports, the trio managed to steal cash from the residence along with an Audi vehicle before making their escape, which led them 15 kilometers away to Gilston, igniting a thorough manhunt across the neighborhood. A police spokesperson remarked on the scale of the operation, stating, "We essentially had every available unit on the Gold Coast engaged in this search."

Isaac Lenton, a local resident of Gilston, witnessed the unfolding events as the suspects reportedly evaded capture while hiding in nearby bushes. “I saw individuals who appeared to be armed with a shotgun lurking in the foliage,” he recounted. “A police vehicle was stationed right outside our home, and there was chaos with officers urging everyone to remain indoors.”

Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported in relation to the robbery. Police successfully apprehended the three individuals—ages 36, 37, and 17—at a property located on Worley Drive around 10:50 a.m. The footage recorded by 9News also reveals the moments when the other two suspects were taken into custody, further emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.
