In confirmation of these events, Circle Officer Abhay Kumar Pandey stated that the alert was raised by university personnel to the local police, resulting in the quick deployment of a specialized bomb disposal unit, a canine squad, and cyber investigation teams tasked with tracing the origin of the threatening email. “Upon receiving the alert related to the bomb threat, we promptly mobilized the bomb disposal unit and the dog squad. Our police teams conducted an extensive search of all isolated areas on the campus,” he explained.

The search operation was concentrated on crucial locations throughout the university grounds. As of now, no suspicious items have been discovered during the thorough inspections. “We have relayed the details of the bomb threat to the police, and they are currently investigating the matter. At this stage, the identity of the individual behind the email remains unknown. The message also includes a demand for a ransom of ₹2 lakh,” the officer added.
