Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his felicitations to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu as he assumed office for the fourth time as Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister. During a ceremony near Kesarapalli IT Park in Krishna district, PM Modi, along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other NDA leaders, attended the grand oath-taking event.
In a warm gesture, PM Modi embraced Naidu on stage and engaged in a friendly conversation, extending his best wishes for the new term. The ceremony also witnessed PM Modi interacting with prominent personalities including Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi, actor Pawan Kalyan, and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, along with superstar Rajinikanth and his wife Latha.
Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan Among Newly Sworn-in Ministers
Among those taking oath as ministers were Janasena chief and actor Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh, son of Chandrababu Naidu. The oath-taking ceremony, presided over by Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer, saw Naidu retaining his Kuppam constituency, while Pawan Kalyan and Lokesh emerged victorious from Pithapuram and Mangalagiri assembly segments respectively, in the recent polls.
The newly formed cabinet, comprising 25 members, accommodates three representatives from the Pawan Kalyan-led party and one from the BJP. With the Andhra Pradesh assembly's strength at 175, the cabinet's composition is in accordance with the provision for up to 26 ministers, including the Chief Minister.
