Apple is extending the availability of its Vision Pro headset to nine additional countries in the upcoming weeks. Among the countries included in this expansion are China mainland, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

The Vision Pro headset is designed to seamlessly merge digital content with the physical world, offering immersive spatial experiences that redefine work, collaboration, connectivity, entertainment, and more.

Pre-orders for the Vision Pro will commence in China, Hong Kong, and Singapore on June 13 at 6 pm PT, with availability starting from June 28. Customers from other countries can begin pre-ordering the device from June 28, and availability will commence on July 12.

Apple's CEO Tim Cook expressed enthusiasm about bringing the Vision Pro to a wider audience, stating, "The enthusiasm for Apple Vision Pro has been extraordinary, and we are thrilled to introduce the magic of spatial computing to more customers around the world."

The Vision Pro, initially priced at $3,499 in the United States, made its debut earlier this year. However, reports indicate that Apple may face challenges due to low demand and initial feedback regarding its first-gen headset.

The Vision Pro runs on the visionOS operating system and will receive an upgrade to visionOS 2 later this year, introducing new features such as intuitive hand gestures, enhancements to Mac Virtual Display, Travel Mode, Guest User capabilities, improvements to Mindfulness, Safari, Apple TV app, and more.

The headset offers storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. While there were initial reports about an India launch, recent updates suggest a potential launch in Q4 2024 based on the latest news from the company.
