Similar conditions are likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya, Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andaman-Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep. Fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms are anticipated over Uttar Pradesh, while Ladakh may experience isolated to scattered rain and thunderstorms. Rajasthan and Gujarat are expected to have isolated rain and thunderstorms.

Rainfall Distribution on Sunday (June 23) Sunday will see heavy rains in Karnataka, Konkan-Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala-Mahe, Telangana, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Odisha. Fairly widespread rain with thunderstorms is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, West Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. Scattered rain with thunderstorms may occur over Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Gujarat Region, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, and Interior Karnataka. Isolated rain with thunderstorms could impact Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, West Rajasthan, Saurashtra-Kutch, Rayalaseema, and Tamil Nadu-Puducherry-Karaikal.

Monsoon Progress and Impacts The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into parts of Madhya Maharashtra, remaining parts of Vidarbha, some parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal, and Jharkhand. Favorable conditions are expected for its further advance into more parts of North Arabian Sea, Gujarat State, remaining parts of Maharashtra, additional parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, and some parts of East Uttar Pradesh in the coming days.
4. Weather Systems and Temperature Outlook A trough line along the west coasts will strengthen westerly winds, particularly affecting the west coasts and adjoining areas with extremely heavy rainfall through Sunday. Meanwhile, a western disturbance will bring heavy rain to the Western Himalayan Region for several days. Maximum temperatures are likely to be near or below normal across most of India during this period, while minimum temperatures will be above normal in the Western Himalayan Region and Northeast India, and near normal elsewhere.
