The Allan Labor Government is committed to bolstering the representation of regional voices in government by announcing the appointment of over 40 new members to Victoria's Regional Partnerships. This initiative aims to advocate for the communities in Melton while promoting economic development.
Member for Melton, Steve McGhie, shared the news about the new members chosen for their robust ties to local communities, industries, and business networks. Each appointee brings significant leadership experience and a commitment to enhancing regional voices.

Established by the Labor Government in 2016, the Regional Partnerships were created to bridge the gap between local business and community leaders and different levels of government. These partnerships empower local communities in Melton, allowing them to articulate their challenges and opportunities effectively.
The following individuals have been appointed for the Central Highlands Regional Partnership:
A total of 67 individuals have received appointments across the nine Regional Partnerships, including 42 new faces and 25 returning members, reflecting a diverse leadership body.
As the state's principal agency for regional economic development, RDV is instrumental in collaborating with communities, businesses, and industries statewide to harness economic prospects and leverage local capabilities.
