Even though I'm leaving politics, my dedication to Vijayawada stays strong, he states
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) announced on Monday his decision to step away from politics and conclude his political journey, while affirming his continued commitment to Vijayawada's welfare and progress.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Mr. Nani stated, "Although I am stepping away from the political arena, my commitment to Vijayawada remains strong. I will continue to support and advocate for the betterment of Vijayawada in any way I can."
Having contested as the YSRCP candidate from the Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency, Mr. Nani expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve as a Member of Parliament for two terms, citing the resilience and determination of the people as his inspiration.
He extended his best wishes to the new representatives in their efforts towards the development and prosperity of Vijayawada. Mr. Nani was defeated by his brother, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate Kesineni Shivnath (Chinni), by a majority of 2,820,85 votes.
